I am a Danish corporate finance lawyer looking for job in Switzerland, preferably Zurich or Basel. Currently, I work in Denmark at the Financial Stability Company (in Danish: Finansiel Stabilitet A/S), where I am involved with cases relating to the financial and legal problems after the 2008 financial crisis, including take-over of distressed Danish banks. Formerly, I worked as an Attorney-at-law in the M&A department at Plesner law firm, a highly selective law firm in Copenhagen.
The reasons for pursuing an international career in Switzerland are many, however, primarily I find Switzerland with its highly competitive global corporations and impressive conservative approach to business very interesting. Further, at my current stage in life being closer to my Swiss girlfriend is obviously also important to me.
I am particularly looking for a job at (1) a legal department of a bank, (2) an M&A department of an international corporation, or (3) a corporate finance department of a law firm. A job within one of these areas would not only be a fascinating challenge to me but also a logical choice where my strong legal M&A background from Plesner law firm and my corporate finance background (with emphasis on finance) from the Financial Stability Company would be an interesting asset.
As far as communication is concerned, I am fluent in Danish and English, I have a good understanding of German from school days (I am currently taking private lessons in German), and I am conversant in Spanish.
